How it works
Three steps at the bench.
Photograph
Take a photo of the target or pick one you already have. Any target works. No special paper and no printed markers.
Scale and mark
Tap two points a known distance apart to set the scale. Mark your aim point, then tap each hole. Zoom in to separate touching holes.
Read and save
The numbers update as you mark. Save the group to a rifle, a load and a range session, and it joins your history.
Load development
Find the
flat spot.
Shoot a charge or seating ladder and select the rungs. The Window tab finds the run of three or more steps where point of impact moves least, and shows whether group size and velocity held steady there too.
- Ladders live in their own load-dev profile, so they never skew your real load's zero or trend.
- Promote the keeper charge to a real load once you've found it.
- Compare rungs side by side, or combine them into one composite group.

Pools impact from every group since your last zero reset, for one barrel and one load, net of what you've already dialled. It tells you whether zero is holding or drifting.

Questions
Before you download.
Does it work without a signal?
Yes. Everything works offline, at the range or anywhere else. If you use Sync, it catches up the next time you're online.
Does it find the holes for me?
It can suggest holes, and you confirm each one. On busy or splattered targets, marking by hand is faster and more accurate. Zoom lets you separate holes that touch, which is exactly when a good group is hardest to read.
Is there an iPhone or web version?
Not yet. Downrange is on Android today. An iPhone version and a web version are both being considered.
What happens to my data if I uninstall?
With Sync on, your records and photos stay in your account: sign in again after reinstalling and they come back. Without Sync, they are deleted with the app, so export a session file in Settings first. It keeps your records, not your photos.
Do I need an account?
No. Everything works without one. You only sign in, with Google or just your email, if you turn on Sync.
